Join the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation and expert fly tiers from the Madison County Trout Unlimited Chapter 680 for a hands-on Intro to Fly Tying workshop. Whether you're a total beginner or looking to refine your skills, experienced instructors will guide you step-by-step through the fly-tying process.
All materials and fly-tying stations will be provided, so you can focus on learning the techniques that anglers use to create effective fishing flies.
Date: Saturday, April 18
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Location: Burton Street Elementary School
Ages: 12 through adult (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
This workshop is free to attend, but a $5 suggested donation is appreciated to help cover the cost of materials.
Please register by April 14 to secure your place. Spots are limited, and depending on interest, family groups may be asked to share a fly-tying station.
🌎 Make a day of it! After the workshop, stick around to explore the Earth Day event hosted by the United Climate Action Network at the school from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event will feature interactive demonstrations, kids activities, an EV car show, and local vendors—making it a great opportunity to learn about conservation and sustainability in our community.
