Meadowlarks breed in natural grasslands, meadows, weedy pastures, and hayfields.
Wondering where the bobolinks and meadowlarks are nesting this year?
Join avid birder and former CPF board president, Jim Steinberg, for a guided bird walk to identify nesting site locations in the Burlingame meadow. We'll try to determine how many nesting pairs are back this year, identify general locations of nesting sites, and see who else is singing in the hedgerow and forest edge.
All experience levels welcome! Just bring:
A pair of binoculars.
Sturdy, mud-friendly footwear.
Your enthusiasm for nature.
Directions: Take Route 13 south from Cazenovia toward New Woodstock. Turn right onto Burlingame Road and proceed for 0.7 miles. Look for the CPF trail sign on the right-hand side of the road and park in the small Burlingame trail gravel parking lot.
