Snowshoe Sundays with CPF are a free and family-friendly way to get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of winter. This low-impact outdoor exercise will get you out on our trails, no matter the weather. (If there's not enough snow, we'll call it a winter hike instead!)
Location: We will start and end at Meier’s Creek Brewing Company at 33 Rippleton Rd, Cazenovia, NY.
Special BOGO Bonus: After your snowshoe adventure, unwind at Meier’s Creek Brewing Company with a snack and their buy one, get one free draft beer special—exclusively for Snowshoe Sunday participants.
NEW! Registration Required
If you plan to attend, please register in advance using our online Snowshoe Sunday Sign-Up Form. All adults must complete this form for themselves and their minor children before participating—this applies whether you bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair from us.
We will have hard copies available at the event if needed, but filling out the form online helps speed up check-in so you can hit the trails faster!
NEW! Snowshoe Reservation Instructions
Due to the increased popularity of our events, we ask that those who need to borrow snowshoes reserve them online in advance—see below. A limited number of adult and kid-size snowshoes are available to borrow, courtesy of the Friends of Stony Pond (FROSTY).
If you reserve a pair, please arrive early to get outfitted. CPF staff will be on-site by 11:30 a.m. to assist with check-in and gear. If you have your own snowshoes, we encourage you to bring them along.
Please Note: To complete your snowshoe reservation, you must click on the Shopping Cart icon in the bottom right of your screen and follow the checkout process.
Check your email for a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your reservation was not completed. Please return to the site and finish the checkout process to secure your snowshoes.

All ages and experience levels are welcome—especially beginners! Come by yourself, bring a friend, or bring your family. We’ve had kids as young as four years old on hikes. Depending on the number of attendees, we can split into groups according to ability level.

That’s no problem! Thanks to FROSTY (Friends of Stoney Pond), there are shoes you can borrow in a range of adult, youth, and kids’ sizes available. Due to the increased popularity of our events, we now require you to make a snowshoe reservation (see above for instructions). If you are planning to borrow shoes, we advise you to arrive a little early to get outfitted. CPF staff will be there by 11:30 a.m. to help folks get signed in and geared up.

Dogs on leash are allowed on CPF trails. For snowshoe events, it tends to work well if you and your dog(s) walk ahead of/behind the main group to ensure that other shoers aren't getting tripped up. It's possible that someone else may bring a dog, so if you know that your pet tends to prefer people over other dogs, perhaps it's best to leave Fido at home for this one.

When winter trails are groomed or there are well-established ski tracks, we appreciate it when snowshoers, walkers, and their leashed dogs (when possible) can refrain from walking in the ski tracks to preserve the quality of the skiing experience. Thank you for sharing the trails.
