New July Date! Trail Work Thursday

This month’s Trail Work Thursday will be on July 18th. Join CPF board-members, staff, and other volunteers for an hour or two of beautifying your community trails, then come for refreshments at one of Cazenovia’s local establishments.

We meet up, collect tools, divide into work crews, and go! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and bring work gloves.

This Thursday we'll be:

  • Weeding in the Willow Patch (bring short-handled digging tool/weeder)

  • Trail Blazing & Lopping - Sherman's Gulch (bring a small backpack and pruners/loppers to tidy up along the trail; we'll supply the blazing materials)

  • Re-set puncheons/boardwalks at the Gorge Trail (bring a shovel and dirt rake)

  • Upper Fairchild Loop gravel & Lop & Trim (bring a shovel, stone rake, wheelbarrow and loppers)

Afterwards, refreshments will be provided by a CPF Board member at Meier's Creek Brewing Company (33 Rippleton Rd., Cazenovia)

October 24 (3rd Thursday of Oct., so we don’t conflict with Halloween)

Volunteer hours are available for high school students. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
